Why Engineers Choose the HP1000

High-pressure applications demand pressure transmitters that deliver exceptional accuracy, reliability and durability. Whether monitoring hydraulic systems, test equipment or energy infrastructure, engineers need confidence that their pressure measurement solution will perform under extreme conditions.

The HP1000 Series from ESI Technology is designed specifically for pressures up to 5,000 bar (72,500 psi). Combining a robust one-piece titanium sensing assembly with proven Silicon-on-Sapphire (SOS) sensor technology, the HP1000 delivers dependable performance in some of the world’s most demanding industrial environments.

Built for extreme conditions

Unlike conventional pressure transmitters, the HP1000 features a one-piece titanium sensing assembly, where the diaphragm and pressure housing are machined from a single piece of titanium alloy. Eliminating welded joints from the pressure boundary improves strength, enhances long-term reliability and enables the transmitter to withstand high-pressure spikes and transients. Titanium also provides excellent corrosion resistance, making the HP1000 well suited to harsh industrial environments.

The advantages of Silicon-on-Sapphire technology

At the heart of the HP1000 is ESI’s advanced Silicon-on-Sapphire (SOS) sensor technology. SOS sensors provide excellent long-term stability, outstanding accuracy and reliable performance across a wide temperature range. The sapphire substrate offers exceptional electrical insulation, helping maintain consistent measurements even in challenging operating conditions. These benefits allow engineers to achieve precise, repeatable pressure measurements throughout the product’s service life.

Designed for hydrogen applications

To support the growing hydrogen sector, ESI also offers the HP1000H, a hydrogen-compatible version of the transmitter. Featuring hydrogen-compatible titanium wetted parts and tested in accordance with ISO 11114 standards, each approved unit is supplied with certification confirming its suitability for hydrogen service. This makes the HP1000H an ideal solution for hydrogen storage, refuelling stations, distribution infrastructure and test facilities.

Certified for demanding industries

The HP1000 Series is available with ATEX and IECEx Intrinsically Safe certification on 4 to 20 mA models, enabling safe installation in hazardous gas, dust and mining environments. For marine and offshore applications, DNV approval is also available, providing confidence that the transmitter meets recognised maritime standards.

A trusted high-pressure measurement solution

Combining high-pressure capability, robust titanium construction, advanced SOS sensor technology and a range of certification options, the HP1000 Series offers a dependable solution for critical pressure measurement applications.

Whether used in industrial testing, energy systems, marine installations or emerging hydrogen infrastructure, the HP1000 delivers the accuracy, durability and reliability engineers depend on when measuring extreme pressures.
