TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is proud to announce the seven billionth (7,000,000,000) shipment of PLASTI-GRIP terminals since the inception of the company.
TE can trace its experience in the development of solderless terminals and crimp technology back to 1948, when Uncas A. Whitaker, the founder of AMP (Aero-Marine Products) invented PLASTI-GRIP – one of the first ever insulated solderless terminals. Since these early days, PLASTI-GRIP has become an industry standard RBY terminal for commercial applications.
“To reach the 7 billion milestone is an amazing achievement for our PLASTI-GRIP products,” says Callum Luff, product manager. “The fact that these terminals and splices have stood the test of time in a wide variety of applications shows the staying power of the product. Our customers know PLASTI-GRIP products are high quality, easy to use and reliable.”
