It’s good to get out!

Why the BCMPA Contract Pack Show at Packaging Innovations appeals to visiting Brand Owners and Retailers.

At the BCMPA we believe that it is good to get out and meet customers and suppliers face to face, that’s why we will be exhibiting for our 11th year at the Contract Pack show, as part of the Packaging Innovations Exhibition at the NEC on February 28th and 1st March.  We will be taking over 20 members of the British Contract Manufacturers and Packers Association with us, who will be setting out their stalls and promoting their own specialisms and capacity within a range of industry sectors.  On the BCMPA hospitality stand we will be helping to raise the profile of the contract packing and manufacturing industry as a whole and promoting our members and their 3rd party outsourcing sites.

Choosing an outsourcing partner can sometimes seem a daunting prospect and that’s why it often helps to see what is on offer and meet your chosen supplier first.  Exhibitions can help to bridge this gap and give potential customers more confidence when first talking to new companies about their specific needs.  For brand owners with little experience of the world of contract packing and manufacturing they can easily access information and speak to the right person.

Contract Pack at Packaging Innovations is the focal point where brand owners and retailers can come to find professional outsourcing partners.  Whether visitors are looking for product formulation, pouch filling, gift packing or someone to handle their fulfilment programmes, they recognize how the ‘contract packing industry’ has developed over recent years.  It helps to meet with a range of different companies and explore the different options.

The beauty of the Exhibition for visitors is that they can also explore other areas of interest for the development of their brands. Packaging Innovations is the largest annual event for the whole packaging supply chain and offers a time efficient way for buyers to find new suppliers, discover new products and services and see the latest industry trends and developments.   With the inclusion of Empack, Ecopack and Label and Print, potential customers can find solutions to their packaging requirements all under one roof. Exhibitors in the Contract Pack Zone will be representing a range of services and sectors from Household, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food, Personal Care and Fulfilment and Logistics.

“BCMPA members benefit greatly from the show, says Rodney Steel, Chief Executive of the BCMPA.  “The environment is centered around Packaging and Contract Packing and Manufacturing are part of the jigsaw.  With time at a premium it allows visitors to connect on many levels and we are excited to meet with potential customers, journalists and our members to discuss the current challenges and advances that are being made in the world of packaging.”

The 2018 show will be interesting one, with the focus on sustainability and how this will lead to new innovation within the packaging sector, something that BCMPA members will be watching with interest, to see how it translates into primary and secondary packaging solutions.
