iiM AG’s successful performance at the international wire fair `TEL Istanbul´


For the first time, the business unit ‘cable measurement engineering’ of iiM AG presented its products at the international wire fair – TEL.

During the fair, iiM AG presented its three star products: the VCPX5 measuring device, the ORC65 sample cutter and the new Cable-O-Ring cutter ORC80.

The VCPX5 is characterized by the very high measurement resolution of up to 2 µm, its easy operation and quick measurement procedure. The preset optical focus and illumination reduce the operator influence and therefore simplify the operation substantially. This measuring device was especially designed for use in laboratories and in production as a quick-test station. The suitable measuring software FMC-3 is included in the complete VCPX5 package.

The cutting device ORC65 enables quickly cut, parallel and thin samples with an outer diameter up to 65 mm. With the new ORC80 it is possible to cut cable samples from hard materials (PE, XLPE) with an outer diameter up to 80mm. For the first time, the ORC80 provides the option to cut sector cables precisely and smoothly. These cable samples are optimally prepared for measurements in off-line cable measuring devices, such as the VCPX5.

The optical cable measuring devices of the VisioCablePro series fulfill cable producer’s requirements to measure the geometrical features of insulating skins and cable sheaths. They create high resolution colour video pictures of cable samples with a diameter up to 130 mm.
