Hampshire-based independent, internationally-accredited EMC Test laboratory, Hursley EMC, are delighted to be attending the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Exhibition for their 10th year. The team will be on hand throughout the 3 day show to share their wealth of knowledge and experience.
Originally specialising in IT products and recognised as the most experienced EMC laboratory in the UK in this field, Hursley EMC’s expertise now extends into a wide range of equipment to all worldwide standards, including UKAS, ILAC, FCC, ISED, VCCI, BSMI and KCC. This has enabled the company to expand their capability into a diverse variety of areas, including Military EMC, where they offer services for Land, Sea and Air sectors. Our facilities enable us to comply with the UK’s Defence Standardisation (DEFSTAN) 59-411 and the USA’s MIL-STD-461, as well as DO-160, the Avionics EMC standard globally recognised for all aircraft.
Since Hursley EMC’s formation from a management buy-out of IBM in 1997, the EMC Test laboratory has established two sites in Hampshire – one in Hursley, near Winchester, and another in Chandlers Ford, on the outskirts of Southampton. The Chandlers Ford site has two fully-compliant 3m and 5m CIPSR16 chambers and a dedicated military area. In addition, the Hursley site has an Open Area Test Site, which is one of the few in the UK with the ability to test up to 30m measurement distances, as well as an underground test laboratory.
Whilst many EMC laboratories only carry out foreign approvals infrequently, Hursley EMC are undertaking testing and certification on a weekly basis for connections throughout Europe, the USA, Canada, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.
Commenting on their 10th year at the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Exhibition, Hursley EMC Commercial Director, Julian Jones, said: “Hursley EMC has exhibited at Southern Manufacturing for a number of years and have gained some fantastic long term customers from it.”
Based on Stand C56, Hursley EMC will be available to discuss your electromagnetic compatibility testing requirements, ranging from commercial testing (up to 40GHz), to RF and EMF building surveys.
