Hörmann UK has introduced the HTL2 ISO thermally efficient telescopic dock leveller, which delivers up to 55% improved thermal insulation compared to standard dock levellers in both closed and loading positions.

Designed to minimise heat loss at the loading bay, the HTL2 ISO supports facilities managers and operators in improving energy efficiency while maintaining reliable and efficient loading operations.

Building on this expertise, the HTL2 ISO dock leveller, when used in conjunction with Hörmann’s sectional door, delivers what is claimed to be the most energy-efficient dock leveller and door combination currently available. The integrated solution is particularly well suited to cold stores, food distribution centres and other facilities where maintaining consistent internal temperatures is critical.

The HTL2 ISO dock leveller is supplied fully pre-assembled and incorporates a 50 mm insulation panel beneath the platform, alongside a unique, patent-pending insulated panel beneath the moving lip. A 390 mm lip overlap ensures reliable bridging between the leveller and vehicle, providing flexible loading options while helping to maintain consistent internal temperatures.

To further minimise heat loss, all grooves, gap seals and vertical edges are optimally sealed to prevent thermal transference at critical points.

The HTL2 ISO is available in standard sizes up to 3000 mm in length and features a standard rated load of 60 kN, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.

Installation and servicing are straightforward, thanks to the fully pre-assembled insulation panels and seals. The hydraulic components are located beneath the insulation panels, ensuring they remain easily accessible for maintenance at all times.

Completing the system, Hörmann’s sectional door is equipped with a suspended bottom section, allowing door operation in front of the dock leveller. When closed, the bottom seal rests directly on the insulated dock leveller panel, maintaining continuous thermal insulation.

Optimum sealing is achieved through a guide channel system and a central sealing unit, ensuring consistent performance during daily operations.
