The Blu Series Merlin flow wrapper has a number of features that make it inherently hygienic and easy to use. The Merlin Blu infeed can be dismantled without tools in less than 2 minutes and has a quick-release infeed catch tray. The folding box is self-threading and simple to adjust.
“This flow wrapper sets a new standard in hygienic flow wrapping technology for its class and delivers tremendous value to our customers,” adds Bickerdike.
The hygienic features also include sloped surfaces and rounded legs that minimize debris build up. The easy-to-clean features are matched by technical highlights of “no product-no bag”, a feature that minimizes film waste, and an intuitive icon-based interface for fast, repeatable changeovers. The new guard design provides operators a clear view of the product throughout the wrapping process.
The production rate for the Rose Forgrove Merlin Blu is 100 (single jaw) to 200 (twin jaw) packages per minute, and package range is up to 120mm high by 300m wide.
