Chell Instruments launch integrated quick disconnect for market leading microDAQ3-64


World-leaders in gas measurement and control solutions, Chell Instruments, have unveiled their newest development in their range of pressure scanners – the Quick Disconnect Option for the microDAQ3-64.

Chell’s quick disconnect allows testing systems to be unattached from the microDAQ3-64 pressure scanner without having to cut and replace the tubes.

“The combination of our market-leading pressure scanner and our Quick Disconnect Option further saves time. Not only do you have the versatility of our microDAQ3-64 but now you can directly disconnect distinct tubing sets in a single action” says Nick Broadley, Managing Director at Chell Instruments.

Chell created their versatile connection system to make it much quicker and simpler to disconnect and reconnect the testing tubing to speed up installation and reconfiguration.

Now, the Quick Disconnect Option for the microDAQ3-64 features a tubulation plate which is the only component which needs to be disconnected.

“It seemed natural to create a quick disconnect that integrated straight onto the microDAQ3-64. It reduces our customers costs and speeds up their process when installing and reconfiguring their pressure testing systems” adds Nick Broadley.

Chell’s pioneering connection solution, has saved time and reduced costs for the R&D of aircraft jet engines.

The Quick Disconnect Option is available for both the valved and non-valved versions of the microDAQ3-64. It features a removable tubulation plate which can be easily exchanged, meaning the scanner can be moved between distinct tubing sets.

The microDAQ3-64 makes use of highly accurate transducers, which are combined with both a pressure and temperature 24-bit ADC, to provide precise measurement and almost entirely compensate for thermal effects.
